Igual que muchas de mis series, “Origo” surgió de forma natural al repasar mi obra fotográfica. Atraído por el magnetismo del mar desde mis inicios en la fotografía, en esta serie el Mediterráneo cobra absoluto protagonismo.

Lugar que me ha visto crecer, el mar Mediterráneo simboliza en “Origo” el origen de todas las cosas, ya no sólo a nivel personal sino de la vida misma. Como si volviéramos a la matriz materna, el mar actúa como un recuerdo atávico que nos atrae a aquello a lo que una vez pertenecimos. En un mundo cada vez más líquido y cambiante, el agua del mar representa, paradójicamente, un punto de anclaje donde poder reconocernos.

As in many of my series, "Origo" came naturally when reviewing my photographic work. Attracted by the magnetism of the sea from the very beginning, in this work the Mediterranean takes center stage. The place where I have grown, the Mediterranean Sea symbolizes in "Origo" the origin of all things, not only on a personal level but of life itself. As if we were returning to the maternal womb, the sea acts as an atavistic memory that attracts us to what we once belonged to. In an increasingly liquid and changing world, seawater represents, paradoxically, an anchor point where we can recognize ourselves.
